The Marbach Scholarship Program is accessible to German and international researchers. It supports ambitious research projects that are based on the collections of the German Literature Archive (Deutsches Literaturarchiv – DLA). A completed university degree is a prerequisite for receipt of a scholarship. The scholarships are awarded in two categories according to the recipient’s academic qualifications: post-doctoral scholarship (higher educated applicants are also admitted) and graduate scholarship. The duration of a research stay at the German Literature Archive can be from one to four months. Additionally, we offer short-term scholarships for Master’s and State Exam candidates.
Along with the »Marbach Scholarships«, the German Literature Archive Marbach issues scholarships in cooperation with third-party donors and patrons. The scholarships must be thematically relevant or rely on the collections.
For the purposes of networking and exchange a Scholar-Café and a Wednesday Seminar take place weekly. This is an opportunity for scholarship holders and guest scholars to present their projects.
