Editions and Digital Humanities
Digital humanities, humanities driven by digital technologies, are a means of research that is developing rapidly and has great potential in the future. The Department of Editions and Digital Humanities uses practical examples to develop models for how editions can be created with structured texts, especially editions of personal data (letters, notes, diaries). We equally attach great value to the long-term availability and reusability of digital texts through the methods of digital humanities, as well as working on them scientifically.
As the contact point for digital editions and for methods of digital humanities, we assist researchers in their own research both through our experience with digital tools and through practical support in choosing software and setting its parameters.
The edition infrastructure is provided and maintained in cooperation projects.
