- physician and writer; he studied medicine at Univ. of Glasgow; in London he became the medical correspondent of The Times. In 1922 and 1923 Wilson stood unsuccessfully as the Liberal candidate for Saffron Walden; under the pseudonym Anthony Wynne, he wrote twenty-six crime novels
