Literature from Ukraine: Link to DLA holdings from archive and library
The next application deadline is 31 March 2025.
The Marbach Fellowship Program is accessible to German and international researchers. It supports ambitious research projects that are based on the collections of the German Literature Archive (Deutsches Literaturarchiv – DLA). A completed university degree is a prerequisite for receipt of a fellowship. Fellowships are awarded in two categories, according to the recipient’s academic qualifications: postdoctoral fellowships (more highly qualified applicants are also admitted) and graduate fellowships. The duration of a research stay at the German Literature Archive can be between one and four months. Additionally, we offer short-term fellowships for Master’s candidates and students on teaching degree programmes.
In addition to the »Marbach Fellowships«, and in cooperation with third-party donors and patrons, the German Literature Archive issues fellowships that are specific to certain collections in terms of themes and content.
Applications may be submitted in German or English.
For the purposes of networking and exchange, a Fellows’ Café takes place weekly and our Wednesday Seminar is an opportunity for fellows and visiting scholars to present their projects.
