Public holidays / limited use

During the Easter holidays, the museums will be open as usual from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm, and on Easter Monday from 10 am to 5 pm. 

The German Literature Archive will be closed on the following days: 
3 - 6 April 2026 Easter
1 May 2026 Labour Day
14 May 2026 Ascension Day
24/25 May 2026 Pentecost
4 June 2026 Corpus Christi
3 October 2026 German Unity Day
1 November 2026 All Saints' Day

There may be delays in use on the following days: 
5 May 2026 Hiking afternoon
17 June 2026, 9-10 a.m. Works meeting
16 September 2026, 9-10 a.m. Works meeting
9 December 2026, 9-10 a.m. Works meeting
10 December 2026, from 15 p.m. Advent coffee

Christmas and turn of the year

The German Literature Archive will be closed from 24 December 2026 up to and including 3 January 2027 and on 6 January 2027.

The Museums will be opened on 26 December 2026, 1 January 2027 and 6 January 2027; they will be closed on 24 December, 25 December and 31 December 2026.
