- Clayton Childress received his PhD in Sociology from the University of California - Santa Barbara in 2012. In 2010-2011 he was a predoctoral fellow at Copenhagen Business School and the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology. In 2011-2012 he was a visiting instructor at Wesleyan University.
